Museo Enzo Ferrari, Modena

The concept for the Museo Enzo Ferrari, which opened in Modena in 2012, was designed by the London-based architecture office Future Systems under Jan Kaplicky, who did not live to see its completion due to his sudden death. His assistant Andrea Morgante therefore completed the task and also took on responsibility for the interior design of the museum. In addition to the new museum building, the work also included the renovation of the workshop building where Enzo Ferrari was born in 1898 and where he later worked. Gentle undulating forms characterize the interior of the barrier-free new building. Built according to criteria of ecological sustainability, the museum regularly hosts changing exhibitions, of which I had the pleasure of photographically documenting the special exhibition "Driving with the Stars", designed in the typical Modena yellow.
