Life and career
Born in 1981, I grew up in Prignitz. After graduating from high school in 2000, completing my civilian service and spending some time abroad, I finally moved to Berlin in 2003.
Until 2007, I completed a classic apprenticeship as a photographer, followed by a successful update to become a master photographer in 2010.
Parallel to my master's training, I assisted the well-known Berlin photographer duo hiepler, brunier, and at the same time went freelance as an architectural photographer.
Since then, I have been able to demonstrate my skills on numerous commissions from various national and international clients and contribute with my photos to making the documented stores, buildings, rooms and places visible to the general public.
After more than 17 years, my family and I moved from the green heart of Berlin to the northern outskirts of our capital in 2020. Here we have found our new home base, from where I travel for assignments in the greater Berlin area, throughout Germany and internationally.
I am involved in the BVAF - Bundesverband Architekturfotografie e.V. (Federal Association of Architectural Photography) together with many other colleagues from all over Germany in order to set quality standards and make the public aware of the special significance of architectural photography.
