Tegut, Weimar

The Tegut store in Weimar, which opened in spring 2025, was a special project for me. The market is located in a listed hall of the former slaughterhouse and combines sustainable conversion with modern shopfitting. The interplay of historic columns, open brick walls, and wooden beam ceilings with modern retail design is particularly impressive.

My focus was on making this character visible: the history of the place, the conscious decision against new construction and in favor of sustainability, and the atmosphere of a market that does not hide its past but integrates it. The result is a series of images that show how architecture, sustainability, and modern commerce form a compelling unity.
